Run Run Run
Words & Music by Mick Armitage and Jane Thickett

 Audio sample
Here is another one of my personal favourites: jointly written with Jane Thickett between April and May 1974. I always thought this song sounded brilliant the way Jane sang it. The big disappointment has always been that we never managed to get it recorded together.

Run Run Run

Run, run, run, you've got me runnin' after you,
And all the things you do make me wanna stay,
Stay, stay, stay, just wanna stay here by your side,
Please don't run and hide, I'm so in love with you.

CHORUS:
Run, run, run, my love for you will never die.
And if I don't catch you I know it's me that's gonna die,
Oh, please don't make me cry.

        ****

Love, love, love, you've got me beggin' on my knees,
Baby won't you please say you love me too.
Two, two, two, that is how it's gonna be,
You were made for me - - - -.

CHORUS:
Run, run, run my love for you will never die.
And if I don't catch you I know it's me that's gonna die,
Oh, please don't make me cry.

        ****

      (Instrumental break)

CHORUS:
Run, run, run my love for you will never die.
And if I don't catch you I know it's me that's gonna die,
Oh, please don't make me cry.

        ****

Cry, cry, cry, the tears are rolling down my face,
If I lose this race, I know that I've lost you.
So run, run, run, you've got me runnin' after you,
And all the things you do make me wanna cry,
All the things you do make me wanna cry,
All the things you do make me wanna run!

Run, run, run  ----------------  run, run, run;
Run, run, run  ----------------  run, run, run
(run, run, run)
Run, run, run  (run, run, run)  run, run, run  (run, run, run)
Run, run, run  (run, run, run)  run, run, run  (run, run, run)
