'Bittersweet - The Clifford T Ward Story' - a massive success!

On 13 January, 2000, the Kidderminster Shuttle reported that 'Record Collector' had rated the CTW biography among the 10 best 'rock' books of 1999 - placing it alongside books about The Beatles, David Bowie and Elvis Presley.

The 1000th, and final, copy of the first edition (hardback) was put up for auction throughout November - early December (2001), and the successful bidder was a Mr. Rob Townsend of London, who bid £750!!!

N.B. (November 2003) : The second edition of the biography - this time in paperback form - is now available.

The new edition concludes with an additional chapter covering Cliff's final days, and presenting a number of interesting items, 'scraps', anecdotes, etc., which have become available to the author since the first edition was published. In Dave Cartwright's own words 'it makes a complete biography even more complete'!
