  The BRONTE Mailing List (e-mail):

The original, 'Majordomo' BRONTE Mailing list which ran from 1994 has since closed down (June 2000). A successor list has been established on 'YahooGroups'. As on the original list, all aspects of the Brontës' works and lives are discussed. The method for subscribing to the new 'BRONTE' list is given below:

Each Mailing list at YahooGroups has its own web site, and you need to access the 'BRONTE List' site to subscribe to the list. There are also a number of options you can select at the site - such as: receive your mail as a daily digest - or as individual mails, or you can 'suspend' your mail (i.e. when you go away on vacation), among other things.

To join, merely go along to the BRONTE List web site (link below) - and click on the 'Join This Group' link - over on the right. You will then be presented with a page of options: select your preferences, and click the 'Join' button at the bottom. That's it! Once a member, feel free to browse around the site - it contains many Bronte related photographs, links to 'Bronte' web sites, photographs of list-members, etc.

Click to join the BRONTE List

N.B: If you do not already have a 'YahooGroups account', you will first have to set one up - to do this, go to the BRONTE List web site using the link above, then click on 'Register' - over on the right. At the page you then arrive at, you proceed to choose for yourself a 'Yahoo ID' (a name by which you will be recognised at YahooGroups), and a 'password'; and enter a few details about yourself - none of this involves any finance or hassle whatsoever! Following this 'registration' process, return to the BRONTE List web site (link above), and follow the instructions given in the paragraph above.
